Well, today  marks  the first official day we start moving on projects for our new network Message Media TV.   And oh boy, my heart is beating wildly. To say I am scared is putting it mildly.   I am still shaking in my boots ( well Uggs, actually.) But I am turning it over to God and moving forward despite the overwhelming need to bury my head under a pillow and hide.

The first show on the network will be regular webisodes of shorts ( small skits/story lines) and we start rehearsals next week.  The ultimate goal is to build a network on the net that will offer fun, entertaining, uplifting drama and comedy shows, concerts, shows for teens, ( talking about the tough stuff.) a good news show sharing the GOOD news that's happening around the nation and world, as well as inspirational stories, interviews,  God's message and action packed webisodes and sci-fi.

All sharing the kinds of  messages you just can't seem to find in the movies and on TV these days.  Have I bitten off more than I can chew? Sure feels like it and yet it also feels like the right thing to do at the right time.  

But we are starting from scratch- and I mean scratch- building a  team with  writers, editors, actors, contributors who want their own show, musicians, and other crew and talent. We need to build our website( and find web support), find out how to get the network available through Roku so you can access it on Hulu or Netflix. We will need to get a second film quality camera and of course  raise money and get sponsors on board.  Honestly I am not sure where exactly to begin. It is a bit overwhelming and I have to continue to remind myself- "small steps, Sharise, small steps."

Today, I asked myself why I have been so reluctant to get back on camera. I'll be honest... while doing Restrained No More I got very little support from conservative media outlets and in fact was  ignored or ridiculed by some of the "Big" guys.  I think they weren't sure what do do with me cuz I really didn't fit into some kind of box- thus the inspiration for my video "Women in Politics- What a Mix "   And though I loved my audience,and appreciated deeply the donations that came in - I was going negative financially having  no sponsors and so I couldn't continue to afford producing the show.  Also, I was getting depressed focusing on all the negative  that's happening today. 

So, I guess  I have been afraid of failing and my need to feel in control was keeping me from stepping in front of the camera to perform again. I realized (I mean really realized ) while praying, it was time to let go, stop trying to control everything- including the outcome.   I mean seriously believing we have control is an illusion anyway. Yes, we have control over our actions, thoughts and behaviors, but  the rest of the stuff- people, outcomes, etc.- not so much. All we can do is pray and step out in faith and do the best we can.  The rest is out of our hands

So, I am letting it go and stepping out - Oh, man what a relief it is to know that I don't have to have all the answers, only the ability to let go (which let's be honest, if you're like me is tough enough. But, it's a whole lot easier than trying to control everything [or thinking I am controlling everything.])

This means that I will be spending a lot of time working on projects- directing, acting, shooting, etc. and it means I won't be able to post as much on Fearless. Feminine. Female.    I have been working daily to get you health news and action alerts, posting recipes, DIY projects, etc.  But I am going to have to let it go somewhat to focus in what I was really called to do- I can't hide behind the written word anymore.  Though I love the blog- it was always meant to be a secondary project, not my main one and with the demands of being a home-schooling mom, I have to choose what to focus on.  I will still be posting, but more as a diary of sorts-  on what's happening with projects, goals, etc and  sharing more of thoughts from me to you..  I will post about other subjects as I  feel  called to do so.  My goal when Message Media TV begins, is to film DIY, cooking videos, etc.   instead of  me just writing about them.
And the Fearless. Feminine. Female archetype was always meant to be on screen.
